What is passivation?

Passivation is a chemical treatment that promotes the formation/recovery of the chromium-rich passive layer in stainless steel, helping to reduce susceptibility to corrosion. It is performed via controlled chemical baths and rinses, without applying any coating.

Materials & typical uses

Stainless components for aerospace, electronics, automotive, devices and hardware.
Applicable to different stainless families (as specified by the customer’s standard on the purchase order).

PAIMEX is a company that has been operating since 2005 and is dedicated to offering METAL FINISHING services.

We are based in Mexicali, B.C., Mexico, on the border with Calexico, California; 2 hours from San Diego and 4 hours from Los Angeles, California.
